Dear NCGA Staff,
Although you have some very noble programs through the foundation, junior golf opportunities and various other community supports; I would like to forward a new idea. Across California all school budgets are being slashed. The NCGA could ease this problem by polling and get participation from all members, and member clubs by a one day contribution, from greens fees, tournaments etc. Member clubs could match members contributions and donate the funds to the NCGA foundation. Those funds could be donated directly to the community of origin or one designated by the member club.
Or, maybe the NCGA could make July an official support specific tournament month. Each member club could put on a tournament supporting local schools.
Please give these ideas some consideration. I feel the strength of our organization could do some really effective community support to an extemely important issue.
Bill - Thank you for taking the time to contact us. We will keep your suggestion for future consideration for the best uses of our Foundation’s funding.
