Jack, thank you for your comment. Giving golfers this power would also enable them to, for example, remove old Tournament Scores impacting their handicap, remove Penalty scores assigned by the Handicap Committee at the club for score posting infractions, etc. This is precisely what occurred when we used to respond to member e-mails requesting a deletion or change. That is why we now direct them back to their Handicap Committee. Thanks again - Jim Cowan

Since we post our own scores, via local computers or on the internet. Why can't the player himself correct an incorrect posting? Contacting the handicap chairmain is a real inconvience to both individuals..We should be able to keep the ideals of the game in hand, that we are under the pretenses of following the honor system....

Tom - Contact the handicap chair of your club to get that corrected. They are the only ones with the authority to make that sort of change. Thanks,

I posted a score online and selected the wrong course (Empire Lakes when it was supposed to be Empire Ranch). How do I get this changed?

Glen, thank you for your comment. At this moment in time So Cal does not subscribe to the same handicap service that we do. As a result, we do NOT have access to their ratings. You will need to "hand" enter the appropriate ratings (hopefully they appear on the scorecard or website for the course). So Cal will be moving to the same handicap service that we use (GHIN) in January 2010, so we will gain access to their ratings at that time. Thanks again, hope you had a nice trip to the desert.
I played golf in Palm Desert over the Thanksgiving holiday. I neglected to post my score. I can't find it in the listings for CA. Should I just post it manully with slope and rating? The course was Shadow Ridge.

Thank you for your assistance!

Juan - It can be done, but it has to be done by the handicap chair of your club. They are the only ones authorized to change or delete a score.

Thanks

I posted a score at an away course, and when I went online to check for it the score had not been posted. So, I re-entered it on line. Now, its posted twice. How can this be fixed?

Freddy, thank you for your comment. He does NOT have a valid point. One, there is no such thing as electing to post or not, he has to. Secondly, by not posting he is disrupting the order of his scores. Had he posted, his 21st oldest score would have fallen off his record. By not posting, it didn't fall off meaning that the calculation was based upon the best 10 of wrong 20 most recent rounds. And the same will be true for the next several weeks or months until he posts 20 more rounds. One score will always be included in the calculation that shouldn't have been. So even though the score is not a "keeper," it does occupy a space among the 20 most recent rounds. And he has disrupted this 20 most recent scoring file. Thanks again - Jim Cowan

Posting scenario: Player shoots a round in the high 90's and elects NOT to post, stipulating that due to the fact that they seldom have a round that high that it's irrelevant because it will never be used in calculating their handicap since the best 10 out of 20 will be used. I understand that every postable round should be entered accordingly, but based upon the calculation methods used...it would be counted as one of his 20 rounds played, but since it won't be used as one of his 10 best, do they have a valid point?
