March 5th, 2008 at 6:14 pmsounds great now just need twilight at pebble
March 5th, 2008 at 7:35 pmMr. Rogers and Justin,
We are pleased that you appreciate the special rates for Pebble Beach, Spyglass and Spanish. We will work to secure more specials in the future including other courses. Twilight at Pebble Beach would be wonderful but I don’t believe it is in their plans. NCGA…the most important club in your bag.

My first time at Poppy Hills on March 5th., what a great course and it was a real thrill to play where the pro’s have played. what a great bargain with the hat, balls. sandwich and cart.
March 6th, 2008 at 10:23 amthanks very much. Dave Redfern
Great program… but I am a Poppy Ridge guy. How about a program with unlimited twilight play and range balls for us P-Ridge players? The agressive (cheap) twilight rates at Pleasanton’s Callippe has certainly affected amount of afternoon play at Poppy Ridge. We need to be more $$$ competetive…
March 11th, 2008 at 12:46 pmsounds like a cozy arrangement if your a local being subsidized by the rest of the ncga. i must be crazy if this goes over without a fuss. what gives?
March 11th, 2008 at 11:54 pmTab- Nothing gives, and I’m not sure I understand what you mean by a local being subsidized. The practice program and twilight fees are available to anyone. While locals are probably more likely to take advantage of the practice program, both offerings are available to anyone.
Shane – Poppy Ridge does have twilight rates – $30 on weekdays and $42 on weekends.
Thanks,
March 12th, 2008 at 8:15 amSpanish Bay on March 10th for $105.00 was unforgettable, fantastic weather and the course was in excellent shape. A huge thank you. Am I reading this right about the twilight rates at Poppy Hills? Why are you posting a walking twilight rate that expired February 28th. The new rate beginning at 4:00 p.m. is hardly worth it as you’ll never get in eighteen. Kudos for the NCGA member deal at Pebble’s three courses, the Poppy Hills deal would be worth the drive from San Francisco if twilight started at 3:00 p.m. Thanks.

March 14th, 2008 at 11:33 amWill there be a practice program like this one at Poppy Ridge as well?
March 16th, 2008 at 10:27 pmShane Dake and Alejandro R.Visaya III, Poppy Ridge is anxious to see how NCGA members respond to the Poppy Hills promotion and if succesful wiil consider having a similar promotion at Poppy Ridge. We appreciate your comments and interest.
March 18th, 2008 at 5:02 pmThank you,

Poppy Ridge GM
I enjoyed playing Pebble in January under this promotion and will be playing Spanish Bay next Wednesday. A friend from Hawaii may fly in next year to play Pebble if you have this promotion again. Thank you for this opportunity.
March 20th, 2008 at 9:03 amThanks for the greatly reduced rates at all of the Monterey Peninsula courses.
April 16th, 2008 at 7:17 amThe Poppy Hills twilight special….while the rate sounds very good, the start time for the rate…..4:00 pm is pretty lame. Getting in a full round would be a crap shoot, not to mention having to drive back after 8:30……….
Tom – Playing at twilight doesn’t guarantee a full round, that is why the rates are discounted. There might be days where a full 18 holes are possible, but not certain.
Hope you have a chance to take advantage of the program….
