The Northern California Golf Association (NCGA), a non-profit service organization, currently consists of 1,250 clubs with a total membership approaching 175,000 making it the largest regional golf association in the country stretching from the Oregon border to central California and east into Nevada. Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach and Poppy Ridge Golf Course in Livermore are owned and operated by the NCGA. The Association’s charitable arm, the NCGA Foundation, supports initiatives for deserving youth.

The NCGA is dedicated to educating its members and the public while growing the game of golf and increasing enjoyment of the sport. NCGA services range from tournament administration to course rating and handicapping to communications (NCGA Golf magazine), environmental services and teaching the Rules of Golf.

DESCRIPTION:
The NCGA is looking for a qualified applicant to serve as the website developer. The position will allow the employee to work full-time from an offsite location with frequent visits to the NCGA office upon request from management. The position will report to the director of marketing and communications and work closely with the two other assistant directors.

DUTIES/JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The website developer will act as the NCGA’s graphic web designer by designing and developing all web projects. Duties and responsibilities include some of the following:  
• Updating the NCGA, NCGA Foundation, CAG, GROW, Poppy Hills and Ridge websites
• Managing all web databases
• Managing eCommunications for the NCGA and NCGA Foundation
• Renovating Poppy Ridge website
• Managing placement of online advertisements
• Providing ideas and implementation for new media projects
• Preparing tournament pairings for the website
• Posting results and news stories for NCGA tournaments
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing and Communications.

• WordPress experience a plus
• Willingness to work long hours
• Ability to travel to NCGA office upon request
• Basic golf knowledge
• Willingness to take active leadership role.
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
College degree and two to three years related website development experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPENSATION & BENFFITS:
This is a full-time position. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.  The NCGA provides excellent medical, dental, vision and life insurance plans with a 401(k) profit-sharing program with up to 7% matching provided to all employees who have worked for the NCGA for one year or more.  Paid vacation, sick & holidays.  All NCGA employees also receive complementary golf privileges at Poppy Hills Golf Course and Poppy Ridge Golf Course, free employee golf lessons, and discounts at our two restaurants and pro shops.  The NCGA requires post-offer drug testing.  *Full-time positions are eligible for paid medical, dental and vision after the first calendar month of employment.
