The NCGA Foundation’s Youth on Course (YOC) initiative offers children across Northern California the opportunity to play some of the area’s best courses for $5 or less while kids put to use the life skills and values training they learned in their Youth on Course certified program. Youth on Course members also receive $15 off entry fees for NCGA Junior Tour events. Having grown to 80 participating golf courses, the program was originally made possible by a generous gift to the NCGA Foundation from an anonymous donor in the San Francisco Bay-Area.

Youth on Course offers participants (Tom’s Kids) $2 NCGA memberships. Membership cards will be given to all participating youth and will have a purple sticker on the back saying “Youth on Course/Tom’s Kids.” Students presenting their card and sticker to participating golf courses at specific times will be granted a discounted Youth on Course rate.  More info about Youth on Course.

I heard from the staff at San Jose Muni in Santa Clara, that a new member could get a temp card on the web site. Is this true? My son Martin Hackett has applied for membership but the card has not come in the mail. Can You help.?

    Sincerely,

    Ed Hackett Sr

Ed- New member cards will be mailed in April. On April 1, your handicap will be e-mailed to you (if you have registered your e-mail with us). On that e-mail is a photo of the card and scores that went into calculating the index.

    Thanks
