PEBBLE BEACH – Teams from Northgate GC have grabbed first and second place after the first round of the NCGA Associate Club Four-Ball Net Championship at Poppy Hills.

Ray Balenbin and Cesar Rodulfo fired a net 60 comprising 11 birdies and one net eagle on their round. The Northgate 2 team of Jose Balenbin and Carlos Ventura is one stroke behind in the format that takes the best net score of each two-person team per hole. Six other duos are within two strokes of the lead setting up an exciting final round.

The event concludes with the final round at Spyglass Hill tomorrow.
