Cathrea Qualifies for CVS/pharmacy LPGA Challenge
Casie Cathrea, a 13-year-old member at Blackhawk CC, qualified for the CVS/pharmacy LPGA Challenge.
Cathrea defeated LPGA player Nicole Jeray in a playoff Monday at Blackhawk. The event caps a very successful summer as the Livermore high freshman made runs to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links in Massachusetts, the second round of the U.S. Girls’ Junior at Trump National in New Jersey and qualified for the U.S. Women’s Amateur.
Last week, the Pleasanton resident won the first event of the NCGA Junior Tour’s Fall Series at Pajaro Valley by four strokes.
