Looking for a new club to join? Many clubs are seeking new members. Additionally, eight NCGA eClubs provide an Internet-based option for membership.

Every year NCGA membership benefits continue to grow. NCGA … the most important club in your bag!

Renewal Instructions

  1. Contact one of your current club officers. If you do not know their contact information you may contact your local golf course if you are a regular club member or for associate club members you may use our associate club directory. If you are unsure who to contact please e-mail member@ncga.org so we may provide you with assistance.
  2. Find a new club through our regular and associate club listings. You can access this information by following the link and then choosing the membership option that best suits your needs. At the bottom of each of those pages are links to clubs seeking members as well as our entire directory for both regular and associate clubs.
  3. If these options do not work for you then you may want to try out one of our regional eClubs. The eClubs will allow you to join online. They are administered by NCGA staff and are approved on a daily basis by 5 p.m.

Additional notes:

  1. If you are a member at a private club the renewal process is handled by your club and you do not need to take any action.
  2. The NCGA cannot automatically bill your credit card unless you chose this option with your eClub membership only. If you did not choose this option we are unable to access your payment information.

If there are any other questions regarding membership renewals please send them to member@ncga.org and we will be glad to assist.

    Hello all,

Thank you for your responses. To address all of your questions we have added a “Renewal Instructions” section in the above article. Please remember you must renew your NCGA membership through your club. The NCGA is not able to process any renewals with the exception of our regional eClubs. Please send any specific questions to member@ncga.org so we can properly assist you.

    Thank you,
    Tom Bowden

why is renewing an existing membership so difficult in this computer oriented world? i’ve been through the whole ncga website and all i can do is write this complaint.

Henry – We apologize that you are having difficulty. As the NCGA is an association of golf clubs, your membership is through your club, Mare Island. You would renew there or through a different club. You can also renew through one of our eClubs – in your case probably eClub North Bay – http://ncga-eclubnorthbay.ghinclub.com/club. Thanks for posting.

In the past, I have joined clubs only to establish a handicap. Is there a way to keep a valid handicap without joining a club? I dont want to do the Eclub.

    Scott Seward writes:

Steve – For a handicap to be official, you have to be in a club. Peer review is an integral part of the USGA Handicap System. So while you can track your scores without being in a club, the handicap would not be able to be used in competition. And in the NCGA’s case, you also lose out on a host of other benefits. Thanks for posting.

Re: Junior members youth on course.
Are they required to belong to a club?

  19. Chad Daymont writes:

Hi Bob – Just like any other NCGA member, Youth on Course members are required to belong to a golf club. A list of Youth on Course golf clubs can be found by logging on to http://www.youthoncourse.org and clicking the link for certified programs. Juniors can also become Youth on Course members by completing the NCGA Foundation’s online curriculum and joining an online Youth on Course eClub.

My question relates to multi-club members. I’m sure that this issue has been addressed before, but please clarify once again. If a player is an active member of different clubs associated with the NCGA, why is the member charged the NCGA membership fee of $36 from each club that he/she is a member of? It seems to me if a person is an active member of the NCGA through one club, his/her membership or GHIN # should be good with other clubs and should only have to pay the $36 membership fee one time only. Thanks in advance for your response.
