Stonebrae Classic Events


ggggNCGA members are invited to participate in two events in connection with the Nationwide Tour’s Stonebrae Classic, to be held April 12-18, 2010.

The Phil Hellmuth-hosted charity poker event will take place Tuesday April 13 at the Claremont Resort in Berkeley. The $800 entry fee (a portion of which supports the NCGA Foundation) enters you into a competition whose champion receives a seat at The World Series of Poker Main Event.  This will be your chance to move all-in against poker pros and celebrities like Jerry Rice, Neal Lomax, Joe Carter and others.

CoverShotThe Jerry Rice Celebrity Pro-Am takes place April 14 at the TPC Stonebrae. For the $2,500 entry fee, entrants are paired with a Nationwide Tour professional as well as a celebrity athlete or media personality. Entrants also receive:

  • VIP Nike Golf Gift Package
  • Two invitations to the pairings party held the night before the Pro-Am 
  • Two weekly Fairway Club passes
  • One VIP parking pass
  • Awards Reception

A portion of the entry fee supports the NCGA Foundation and its award-winning Youth on Course Program.

Tickets to the tournament are available as well with 100% of the proceeds supporting the Foundation. Simply select the NCGA Foundation as the “Charity of Your Choice” on this website.

Jerry Rice (pictured left) has received a sponsor’s exemption and will compete in the tournament against a field that could include Jason Gore, former PGA champion Shaun Micheel and Tim Herron as well as local favorites Jeff Brehaut from Los Altos and Todd Fischer from Pleasanton, and rookie Nathan Smith from Santa Cruz. The final field will be determined just before the event.
