CARMEL – The Wildhorse team of Dominic Acia, Steve Hilas, Stephen Micke and Ken Yamauchi grabbed the NCGA Sacramento Zone Championship at Quail Lodge.

Wildhorse came from 10 strokes down in the final round, carding a 38-under net 248 in the format the takes the best two of four net scores per hole. One stroke back was the Davis team of Bruce Danielson, Jim Fagan, Fred Muller and Tom Muller.  Swenson Park took third, two back of the leaders while first-round leader Reserve at Spanos Park faded to fourth.

Wildhorse and Davis qualify for the Zone Championship, to be held August 30-31 at Poppy Hills and Spyglass Hill.

Runners-up Davis: Bruce Danielson, Jim Fagan, Fred Muller and Tom Muller
