CARMEL – The Lake Tahoe GC team of Kyle Mazzoni, Tim Mazzoni, Gary Mendel and Joseph Puleri and the Wawona GC team of Dale Soria, Arlene Yost, David Yost and Frank Yost tied at the end of regulation play at the NCGA South Sierra Zone Championship at Quail Lodge.

Both teams fired 33-under-par net 253s in the format that takes the best two of four net scores per hole. Wawona came from three back in the final round to force the playoff.

After a two-hole playoff, Lahe Tahoe emerged victorious.

Edgewood Tahoe took third, six strokes back.

Both Lake Tahoe  and Wawona qualify for the Zone Championship, to be played August 30-31 at Spyglass Hill and Poppy Hills.
