AHWAHNEE – The second event of the spring series of the Junior Tour of Northern California at Sierra Meadows CC was shortened due to inclement weather.
Based off first-round results, Andrej Bevins and Justin Marchiando of Carmel tied for top honors in the Boys Championship Flight, both firing impressive three-under 69s in the first and only round. Aaron Bronis of Livermore was third, two back of the
The Girls Championship Flight resulted in a three-way tie for the title between Hannah Sodersten of Fresno, Mabel Wong of Oakdale and Carly Childs of Alameda. The three competitors carded three over 75s.
Clovis’ Justin Avery took top honors in the Boys First Flight with a three over 75. Avery was three clear of runner-up Trent Nishimura of Fresno. Danny Wong of Oakdale was third. The Girls’ First Flight was taken by Jordan Keyser of Ahwahnee with a nine-over 81. Jacqueleine Ngo of Friant, Erin Falge of Fresno and Belinda Hu of Fremont tied for second, three back of the champion.
The Junior Tour heads to Diablo Grande next week for the third stop of the spring series.
