PEBBLE BEACH – The Plumas Lake GCC team of Richard Carter, Jesse Martynski, Ed Powell and Tom Sanchez took home the NCGA North Valley Zone Championship at Poppy Hills GC for the second straight year.

Plumas Lake posted a 39-under net 247 in the format that takes the best two of four net scores per hole.  The champions were able to hold on to their lead after posting a powerful 22-under 122 in the first round.

The River Oaks team of Robert Morley, Nancy Rosa, Kenneth Ruzich and Ron Ruzich finished second with a final round team score of 33-under 253.  Buckingham GCC came in third, seven strokes behind the leaders.

Both Plumas Lake and River Oaks qualify for the Zone Championship August 29-30 at Poppy Hills and Spyglass Hill.
