PEBBLE BEACH — The NCGA Women’s Net Amateur Championship produced champions in three handicap flights, President, Director and Secretary, at Poppy Hills.

Martha Hagler of Executive Women’s Golf Association, SMN Chapter held on to her first-round lead to win the President’s Flight with an overall one-under net 143.  “I played well, but I had a great start yesterday,” said Hagler.   Last year, Hagler took home first place in the Director’s Flight.

Kennedy Shields of Burlingame GC had three birdies on the day, putting her in second place with a second-round score of one-over-par net 73.

Three players tied for third place, four strokes back of the lead.

In the Director’s Flight, Charlotte Wells of EWGA, Sacramento Chapter nabbed first place with an impressive six-under-par overall score.  Wells posted two consistent rounds shooting 70 in round one followed by a 68.

Judy Wu of Lake Merced GC carded a one-under-par overall to finish in second place.  Elizabeth Riddle of Fore Women GA took third place honors with an overall net 145.

Kelly Tague of Fore Women GA shot a consistent net 65 in both rounds to earn first place in the Secretary’s Flight.  “Yesterday was the first day I broke 100 at Poppy Hills,” said Tague.  “And I was able to do it again today.”

Last year’s winner, Karen Biscaha of EWGA, Sacramento Chapter finished in second place with a final-round 70.  Regina Cortez, also of EWGA, Sacramento Chapter, took third after posting a final-round 71.
