SACRAMENTO – The Junior Tour of Northern California, sponsored by CIG, kicked off its fall series of events at Haggin Oaks.
In the boys championship flight, Justin Paglia of Dublin won going away, carding a stellar 10-under 134 to win by eight shots over Hunter Rappleye of Elk Grove and Chad Bell of Fresno, both of whom finished at 2-under.
Carly Childs of Alameda and Casie Cathrea of Livermore were tied for first place at the end of regulation in the girls championship flight. Childs earned the championship after a one-hole playoff with a birdie. Kathleen Scavo was third, one shot back.
Ryan Bell of Brentwood took the boys first flight by three strokes over Bryce Yoshimoto of Fremont. Daniel Pena of Modesto was third. In the girls first flight, Angela Liu of San Jose was the champion by eight shots over Grace Chen of Sunnyvale.
The Junior Tour next heads to Foxtail September 24-25.
