Sacramento County 36-hole Stroke Play

CARMICHAEL – Cameron Rappleye of Elk Grove won the 2012 Sacramento County Championship after finishing 36 holes with a score of 136, eight-under par. Rappleye was buoyed by his impressive first round score of six-under par 66 to take a four shot lead over the competition. In the final round Rappleye made it tough for the rest of the field to try and catch him as he followed with a round of 70, 2-under par.
Finishing in second place was Austin Roberts of Carmichael as he posted the low final round score with a 68, 4-under par. His 140 two-day total was two shots clear of third place finishers Josh Stone of Stockton and Lee Gearhart of Roseville. Stone and Gearhart both finished at 142, and mirrored scores of 70 and 72, with Stone’s lower score coming in the first round and Gearhart closing with a 70. Coming in alone in fifth place at 143 was Taylor Knoll of El Dorado Hills, posting rounds of 72 and 71.
Rounding out the top 10 were Woodland’s Adrian Schwarz, Ben Corfee of El Macero, Brian Knoll of El Dorado Hills, Elk Grove’s Jordan Swanson and Tanner Makimoto of Roseville. All five players completed 36 holes of play at 144, even-par to tie for sixth place.
