WALNUT CREEK – Ben Geyer of Arbuckle continued his stellar summer with a six-stroke margin of victory at Boundary Oak GC’s Contra Costa County Amateur Championship. The current NCGA Stroke Play champion put together two impressive rounds to finish 36 holes at 10-under par 134. His nearest competitor was Rick Reinsberg of Lafayette at four-under par 140. Concord’s Bobby Bucey also found red numbers finishing 36 holes at two-under par 142 to take third place. Dillon Soldwisch earned fourth place with a score of 145, while Jerry Ledzinski and Carlos Briones tied for fifth with a score of 146.
In the senior division, Walnut Creek resident Scott Anderson took first place edging out Terry Foreman of Antioch and Peter Moren of Danville. Anderson put together a two-day total of even-par 144, while Foreman and Moren each posted a one-over par 145. In a tie for fourth place were Bob Rowland and Michael Brannan at two-over par 146.
