WEED – Carl Selkirk successfully defended his title at the Siskiyou Open, firing a 36-hole total of 140, even par. His first round of two-under 68, gave him a three-shot lead going into the final round, which turned out to be needed as the Chico resident would win by a one-stroke margin over Matthew Dawson. Dawson followed his first round of 72 with a one-under 69 to finish at 141. In third place was Steven Messer at 143 who put together rounds of 71 and 72. Larry Spencer earned fourth place with a 149 total, while Greg Dawson and Troy Graves finished tied for fifth place at 151.
