Poppy Ridge GC in Livermore held two qualifiers amongst its 27 holes. The Chardonnay/Zinfandel qualifier had 21 available spots and was led by Mark Cavanaugh, who fired a net score of 63. Not to be outdone, in the Zinfandel/Merlot qualifier Dave Petersen put together his own round of 63. The Zinfandel/Merlot qualifier did have fewer spots available (17) and also had higher qualifying scores as five players made it with a 73 compared to Chardonnay/Zinfandel, which had four players qualify with a 72.

The smallest qualifier of the day was held at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton, which had nine available spots. Bill McKinley was two strokes better than his nearest competition, putting together a net score of 67 to take medalist honors. Arthur Godinez was the final player to qualify at Ridgemark GCC with a net score of 75, beating out Augustis Kamburis and Tom Cook in a scorecard playoff.

The final qualifying site to mention, Santa Clara GTC, had 14 spots available and was the only site not to have an outright medalist.
