Distinguished Service Award
The Distinguished Service Award continues the long standing tradition of the Northern California Golf Association in recognizing deserving individuals from within the Northern California golfing community. Past recipients of the award have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to the advancement and preservation of golf’s traditions and standards in Northern California through dedicated participation and leadership in the Northern California Golf Association.
With the inauguration of the NCGA Hall of Fame, honoring those who have given back to the game in Northern California, there has been a refocusing of the Distinguished Service Award (DSA) to include those specifically involved in the Northern California Golf Association. Candidates will meet the following qualifications:
1. have given his or her time and talent in support of the game of golf
2. been recognized for their involvement in the preservation and advancement of golf through the Northern California Golf Association
Nominations are solicited from the general membership of the Association. The Hall of Fame/DSA Awards Committee selects the recipient with the NCGA Board ratifying their selection. The NCGA’s 2013 Distinguished Service Award will be presented at the Hall of Fame banquet in February, 2014.
