REDDING – Redding resident Josh Baskins won the 2013 Redding Open at Gold Hills CC with a 36-hole score of 144. Baskins put together back-to-back rounds of 72 to take a two-shot victory. In second place was another Redding resident Bill Speer who scored 146 over 36 holes. Speer, who opened with a 76, had the low final round score with a 70. Chad Kimmelshue of Durham took third place alone with a 36-hole score of 149, which included rounds of 74 and 75.
Tied for fourth place at 150 were Bob LeDoux of Anderson and Daniel Morgan of Alturas. In a tie for sixth place at 152 were Truett Waldon and Nick Fasiano both of Redding. Dwain Barfuss and Mitch Card also of Redding tied for eighth place at 153. Alone in 10th place at 155 was Brett Okimura of Reno. The senior division was cancelled due to lack of participation.
