1. What does it mean to play in the NCGA Amateur?
Winning any event is great, but winning this one, with its tradtion…I would love to do it.
2. Any nerves on the first tee?
Always. It’s good to be nervous. It means you want it.
3. Best practice drill or tip?
I use the three-foot circle putting drill. I try to make 20 in a row.
4. Ideal foursome
My dad, Tiger – even though he went to Stanford, and Jack Nicklaus
5. One word to describe yourself.

1. What does it mean to play in the NCGA Amateur?
Next to the State Am, this is the biggest event for me. And to play Spyglass, that’s a treat.
2. Any nerves on the first tee?
I’m more nervous in qualifying because every shot counts. In match play, I’m a little more comfortable.
3. Best practice drill or tip?
I work on a 1/2-swing shot with my feet together that works my wrist muscles.
4. Ideal foursome
My dad and brother and me. Those three would be my perfect foursome.
5. One word to describe yourself.

1. What does it mean to play in the NCGA Amateur?
It’s everything. It’s the biggest NCGA event there is. It’s a great run event at a great golf course.
2. Any nerves on the first tee?
A lot. But once that first drive is away you let them go.
3. Best practice drill or tip?
Keep your routine consistent. Use it every time.

1. What does it mean to play in the NCGA Amateur?
It’s great. The course and location are awesome. It”s a great tournament to get sharp before I head back to school.
2. Any nerves on the first tee?
No, not really. It’s a long week so one shot doesn’t really mean much.
3. Best practice drill or tip?
I like to practice alignment. I lay down a club and make sure I’m on target.

1. What does it mean to play in the NCGA Amateur?
It’s a chance to win Northern California’s biggest tournament on my favorite golf course.
2. Any nerves on the first tee?
Yes, always.
3. Best practice drill or tip?
I take three balls and drop them around the green and try to get up and down each time. I’ll do this six times for a total of 18 holes and total the score to see how I do.
4. Ideal foursome
Payne Stewart, Tiger and my son
