Haggin Oaks GC

3645 Fulton Ave
Sacramento, CA 95821
MacKenzie Course: Measuring 6,991 yards from the back tees, this 73-year-old track, originally designed by architect Alister MacKenzie, is a true test of golf for the low handicapper.
Haggin Oaks is the course where the legendary Ben Hogan won his first professional check — $350 for third place in the 1938 Sacramento Open and has played host to dozens of other PGA professionals.
With very little water (Arcade Creek comes into play on five holes) and no fairway bunkers, the small, heavily bunkered greens require shot-making and putting to be sharp to score.
Arcade Course: The Arcade Creek Golf Course is a relatively flat layout designed to be friendly to every skill level. Arcade Creek runs through the course, but rarely poses too much in the way of an obstacle. The whole intention of Arcade Creek Golf Course is to ease beginners into the game by placing the middle tees at a relatively short 6,552 yards.

Metropolitan GL

10051 Doolittle Dr.
Oakland, CA 94603
The Metropolitan Golf Links includes straight holes, doglegs and also a couple of double doglegs.  The layout boasts subtle mounding, gentle undulation, four wetland areas and strategic bunkering.  Perhaps the greatest asset of the course is that it provides the golfer with a variety of options depending on the wind, course conditions, and the player’s appetite for risk on any given day.
The Johnny Miller and Fred Bliss design is located just to the south of Oakland International Airport. The fairways are mostly open and the greens are large, which requires players to find the correct part of the green for their approach shots and learn to putt the undulating green surfaces.
