PASO ROBLES – The NCGA Junior Tour concluded the final event of its second regular season today at Hunter Ranch in Paso Robles with competition across four flights and in gross and net divisions.

Joel Slak of Folsom held on to his first-round lead, pairing his opening 69 with an even-par 72 to secure a three-under total and a three-stroke margin over Justin Marchiando of Carmel and six shots over Matt Pinizzotto of Salinas in the Boys Championship flight.

The Girls Championship flight saw LPGA CVS Pharmacy Challenge participant Casie Cathrea of Livermore win by three strokes over Alexandra Sborov of Pleasanton and 10 shots over Alicia Binneboese of Carmel Valley and Madchen Ly of Clovis. Cathrea carded a 71 in the final round, a six-shot improvement over her first round. The 13-year-old had Monday-qualified for the LPGA event and then made a hole-in-one in the opening round of the tournament.

Chris Parkinson of Danville came from behind in the second round to nab the Boys First flight by four over Ryan Cuenca of San Jose and six over Robert Briggs of Novato. Jordan Keyser of Ahwahnee also came from behind in the final round to capture her second straight Girls First flight title.  First-round co-leader Chloe Corriveau of Salinas finished second by one stroke while the other first round co-leader, Anja Kong of Pleasanton, took third.

Ryan Hamm of Danville won the Boys Net division by one stroke over Skyler Finnell of Carmel. In the Girls Net division, Kirsten Keyser of Ahwahnee took first while Stephanie Gibri of Sunnyvale finished second.

Next week, the Junior Tour wraps up the season with its Tour Championship at Belmont CC in Fresno. Players of the year will be announced at the conclusion of the event.
