The Las Positas Senior Golf Club is located at the wonderfully maintained Las Positas Golf Course in the heart of the Livermore wine country.  If you like playing at one course, are 55 years of age or more and are looking for a flat golf course that you can either walk (about half of us do) or ride, this club is for you.  Tournaments are held at Las Positas two Wednesdays a month March through October and one Wednesday a month November through February.  Tournaments include individual stroke, better ball, skins, scramble, best 9 holes and 3 clubs plus putter.  Our membership averages 135.  Dues are $70 the first year (includes NCGA dues) and $62 thereafter.  Join up and have some fun!

Tilden Park Golf Club has a rich history of tournament play and diverse membership. Our members travel from as far away as Lake Tahoe and Santa Cruz to play in our events. Our course is lined with old Redwoods and Eucalyptus trees as well as plentiful wildlife including coyotes, deer, fox and numerous predatory birds. The club membership totals about 120-150 and includes all types of professions and ages from contractors to medical professionals and young men to seniors 65+ in age. We play about 30 tournaments each year including a few multiple weekend tournaments at home. We also play 6-8 away tournaments at courses such as Poppy Hills and Poppy Ridge. The Pinseekers play 18 to 19 tournaments a year, always midweek, at prices ranging from $45 to $75 for premium venues like Silverado, Saddle Creek, Hiddenbrooke, Poppy Ridge and Wente Vineyards. A two to three-day excursion is held annually, historically in either the Carson Valley, Nevada, or in Monterey, that includes three days of golf and first-class accommodations. The Benicia Golf Association (BGA) plays 10 to 12 tournaments each year on both weekend and weekday days. Tournaments are generally played in the Fairfield Valley vicinity at Rancho Solano, Paradise Valley, Hiddenbrooke, Blue Rock Springs and Mare Island. Additionally, we have a season long point system that rewards the best golfers through out the year.  We also utilize a handicap system based on your play in past BGA tournaments.  Membership dues are reasonable at $80 per year, including NCGA dues, with no initiation fee.  The focus of our golf association is to provide a fun and competitive environment for members to enjoy the game of golf.

We are a club that plays monthly weekend events primarily focused on having fun, but there’s always some competition as well.  Our events span from March to October all around the Bay Area from North to South with members that span from Sacramento to Monterey with the greatest concentration in the East Bay.  Our members range in handicap from 1 all the way to the high 30’s and everything in between.  We have a cumulative club championship points race that leads to an opportunity to play Pebble Beach each year.

The City of Hercules Golf Club is a fund raising organization that was established to provide mentorship for teaching the game, rules, and etiquette of golf to junior members of our community. Money raised will provide funds for our junior golf program as well as our local school extracurricular programs. The CHGC is a club comprised of all levels of golfers from single-digit handicappers to beginners. We have regular club tournaments once a month on either the second or third Saturday between March and September at various Bay Area courses. In October we have our Annual Fund Raiser Scramble where local businesses donate funds and prizes to support our programs.

We are a small club and play one tournament a month almost all in the San Jose area. See the schedule on the Web site. We usually play two flights and have about 20 to 24 players per tournament. We always play “low net” with a couple closest to the pin awards for each flight. We have a Match Play tournament each year and a Masters event each June that is 36 holes with a banquet.
