The mission of our club is to offer members a wide range of golf and social activities in order to enhance their overall golf experiences and, most importantly, to have FUN! There are periodic tournaments — some serious like NCGA qualifiers and the club championship, some just for fun like the 4-club and member/guest tournaments played in October. Periodic tournaments are often followed by refreshments, dinner and awards in the Apple Mountain Resort Grille. We are not just about tournaments. The club continues the more popular activities from previous years, including the winter golf league, trips to other golf venues and the NCGA Team Match competition – a 12-person team competition against other clubs at Apple Mountain and other courses throughout the region.
Forest Meadows GC

We play a men’s club tournament every Friday, sponsor a Sunday scramble every other Sunday followed by dinner. Also, we have an invitational tournament scheduled for every July. Once a month we travel to another club for a tournament. We provided a $500 scholarship to the top graduating Bret Harte High School Golf team member. We participate in the NCGA Senior 4-Ball tournament. Most of our members live in the Angels Camp/Murphy’s area.

The Graeagle Men’s Golf Association is an active men’s golf club that plays at Graeagle Meadows (in the NCGA Northeast Zone). We seek and welcome new members for our club. We currently have 183 members and sponsor 21 tournaments each season, including six couples’ events and several NCGA qualifying tournaments. Each year in early June we hold our annual member-guest two-day invitational for 128 players. Proceeds from this event go to local charities. Each week during our season we hold informal games on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for members who wish to play in any or all of these events.
Ponderosa GC

Ponderosa is a beautiful nine-hole golf course. It is now owned by the Truckee Donner Parks & Recreation District. It was built in the 1960s by local contractors and heavy equipment operators that donated their time. We may not have a famous golfer’s name to boast about, but the condition of our course is one of the best in the Truckee area. It’s also about much more affordable. We have members with handicaps that range from 4 to over 30. The club plays every Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. as a coed event. We hope to see you there.

Alameda NAS GC

The Alameda Naval Air Station Golf Club was formed in 1982 by golfers that worked at the Alameda Naval Air Base. Our club welcomes all-not necessarily in the military, retired, etc. The golf club holds tournaments every month on Saturdays at various Northern California courses. All tournaments have a long drive contest (men, women and seniors) and all Par 3′s are closest to the pin with cash prizes.
Genoa Lakes Golf Club and Resort

The Genoa Lakes Men’s Club plays at the two courses…the Lakes Course and the Resort Course located in the South Lake Tahoe area. Our season starts in April and extends through October. We sponsor two tournaments a week, Wednesday and Saturday. We currently have about 160 NNGA members with about 60 of them also NCGA members. We usually have between 20 to 32 players for each of our weekly tournaments with over 20 different tournament formats. We sponsor a Club Championship, Senior Club Championship, Presidents Cup and a Vice President Cup. We have qualifying matches for several of the NNGA and NCGA tournaments. We also host a Member-Guest Tournament in late summer. Our membership fee for the year are $100 which includes fees for the NNGA (NCGA membership is offered for an optional fee), several luncheons throughout the season, covers entry fees for our championship tournaments, trophies, and other amenities.

Having opened the club in 1957, we are one of the oldest existing Associate Clubs. We have many activities at each monthly tournament, including a Memorial Tournament, which is held in my fathers honors, closest to the hole on par 3s, long drive contests and rabbit. We have played in Reno/Tahoe, Napa, Monterey, San Joaquin Valley, Bay Area, Poppy Ridge, Santa Cruz, San Juan Oaks, Lake Chabot, Brentwood, Saddle Creek, Diablo Grande, Stevenson Ranch and The Reserve at Spanos Park. We play from March to November each year on the first Saturday of the month.

Our members live throughout the Bay Area. We hold monthly tournaments at courses throughout the Bay Area largely based on recommendations of club members. The club strives to adhere to the rules of golf but provide fun outings for its members.

We play eight tournaments a year February – October (approximately one tournament a month) at courses such as Poppy Ridge (Livermore), Rancho Canada (Monterey), Turkey Creek (Sacramento), Santa Teresa (San Jose), Eagle Ridge (Gilroy) and Genoa Lakes (Reno).

The PricewaterhouseCoopers SF Golf Club was created for employees, alumni, and clients of PwC, along with anyone else interested in the game of golf, to join the NCGA, track their handicap, and take advantage of the great golf opportunities in Northern California. The club generally plans 2-4 tournaments each year, making sure to take advantage of member discounts at the Poppy Hills and Poppy Ridge courses. While our members span all of Northern California, we primarily play courses in the Bay Area.
