The Alameda Naval Air Station Golf Club was formed in 1982 by golfers that worked at the Alameda Naval Air Base. Our club welcomes all-not necessarily in the military, retired, etc. The golf club holds tournaments every month on Saturdays at various Northern California courses. All tournaments have a long drive contest (men, women and seniors) and all Par 3′s are closest to the pin with cash prizes.

One tournament per month March – October, mostly in and around Sacramento; however, we have two weekend trips in June and September to areas like Lake Tahoe, Carson City, Reno, Bodega Bay, Murphys, Graeagle, etc. Most tournaments are low net, with a couple of scrambles. Our members range from 6 – 36 handicap. We value fun number one.

Funseekers Golf Club

The Funseekers Golf Club is a long-standing club organized for the purpose of promoting and preserving the best interests and true spirit of the game as embodied in the ancient and honorable traditions. GOATS Golf Club

We are an associate club with about 40 men, mostly from Marin and Sonoma counties, some from Sacramento or East Bay. Handicaps range from single digit to 25. We play one Saturday tournament (size of event is usually 24 to 28 players) a month plus two weekend getaways a year. Tournament courses vary in most Bay Area counties (e.g Windsor, Blue Rock, Eagle Vines, Poppy Ridge, Metropolitan, Rancho Solano, Roddy Ranch). We include prizes, closest to the hole, long drives, low gross, low net. We also have a cup award for the player that achieves the most points for the year.

Having opened the club in 1957, we are one of the oldest existing Associate Clubs. We have many activities at each monthly tournament, including a Memorial Tournament, which is held in my fathers honors, closest to the hole on par 3s, long drive contests and rabbit. We have played in Reno/Tahoe, Napa, Monterey, San Joaquin Valley, Bay Area, Poppy Ridge, Santa Cruz, San Juan Oaks, Lake Chabot, Brentwood, Saddle Creek, Diablo Grande, Stevenson Ranch and The Reserve at Spanos Park. We play from March to November each year on the first Saturday of the month.

The Land Park Weekenders is one of the oldest women’s golf clubs in Sacramento. What makes our club unique is the diversity of our members, the variety of their golf skills and their ability to have a good time regardless of their scores. The club has weekly tournaments on most Saturdays, February through November. Our home course is William Land Park in Sacramento, a 9-hole course with a par of 34, yardage of 2, 612 and a slope rating of 106. Lincoln Golf Club is a non profit men’s organization that was formed about 30 years ago on Lincoln’s birthday. We are an NCGA associate club; therefore, we are not affiliated with any single golf course. Tournaments are played at different courses in the Sacramento area. We allow a maximum of 80 players in the club and generally carry between 65 – 75 members. Indexes vary in the Lincoln Golf Club from 5.0 thru 33.9, with the majority of the members falling between 10 – 18.

The Maples Club

THE MAPLES CLUB hosts 100 members and has over 25 regular visitors, who we call Friends of The Club, and come together to make our monthly outings a blast! THE CLUB dues are inexpensive, and we play Sunday mini-tournaments at reasonable rates. Instead of giving all the winnings back to the event venues, we give it directly to the players to use as they wish. We also host the annual Maples Invitational – a 2-day, 2-tournament event in the late summer. This is our flagship event held at Rancho Canada in Camel Valley, with a smaller mini-event the Friday prior at Poppy Hills. We are extremely proud that this is our 24th year in existence and looking forward to welcoming you as a new member.

Oak Grove Golf Group

The Oak Grove Golf Group started in 1983 with the idea of a small group playing some friendly competitive golf on a weekly basis. The number of members has grown rapidly and we now have around 80 members. Member handicaps range from 3 to 36. We play 50 Wednesday tournaments a year made up of medal play with some team formats such as scramble and best ball; 25 are played at Diamond Oaks in Roseville and the rest are played in the greater Roseville/Sacramento area. Our annual championship is divided into four flights and played over three days.

River City Rovers is based in the Sacramento/Stockton area. However, we have several members from the East Bay area of Livermore/Pleasanton. We are not affiliated with any specific municipal or private golf course. Our members are basically professional folks or retirees, male and female, that prefer to play a variety of golf courses rather than attach to a specific club. We do not have organized or competitive tournaments during the year, however we may have social golf get togethers. We welcome new members who are interested in this type of affiliation.

We do however, have a number of members not related directly to the real estate business. We have a membership index range from 1.2 to 40.4. We have one tournament per month from February through November (third Thursday) and generally play a variety of courses within 50 miles of the area, with an annual trip to Poppy Hills and Pacific Grove.

Our members live primarily in the greater Redding area. We meet once each month—3rd Wednesday—for lunch and a speaker. The club has an 18-Hole group and a 9-Hole group. The 9-Hole group plays once a month at one of the local 9-hole courses and typically has a barbecue lunch. The 18-Hole group is the largest and we play 15 tournaments each year. We play at the following courses: Lake Shastina, Mt. Shasta Resort, Tierra Oaks, Fall River Valley, Gold Hills, Wilcox, Sevillano Links, Bidwell Park, Canyon Oaks, RiverBend and Palo Cedro. In addition to golf, our club offers association in other internal groups, such as fishing, computers, and dine-out. Our total membership is about 185 with about 95 to 100 golfers.
