The Boulder Creek Golf Club sponsors monthly tournaments during the year. The majority of our tournaments are played at our home course at the Boulder Creek Golf and Country Club. We try to incorporate a few away tournaments which take place typically in the Central Coast Areas. In addition, we also sponsor a couple of dinner dances throughout the year and special Horserace tournaments throughout the summer months.

The Palo Alto Golf Club was created 50 years ago at the opening of the Palo Alto Golf Course. The course was renovated in 2000 and is in the best shape in many years. We play about 30 events each year, about half of them at home. We are serious about our golf and make every effort to play by both the spirit and the rules of the game. The Poplar Creek Golf Club has been serving local golfers since 1939. We reside at the Poplar Creek Golf Course in San Mateo, CA, which was previously known as the San Mateo Municipal Golf Course. Vastly remodeled in 1999, we typically host 22 tournaments annually, half of which are at Poplar Creek and the remainder at away courses, throughout the Bay Area. First year fees are approximately $180 and annual renewals are approximately $70. We offer social food events approximately six times annually as well as our outstanding Christmas Gala. Our club participates in five NCGA events annually: 2-Man Best Ball, 4-Man Best Ball, NCGA Net Individual, NCGA Zone Team and 12-man NCGA Team matches. AGC is a mens only club that plays tournaments the first Saturday of each month (Feb - Nov). We play mid to upper level courses and try to stay within a 90-minute drive time of San Mateo. We hold long drive and par 3 proximity events at each tournament and track points of all players for the end of season prize party. We have about 50 members and would like to grow back to around 100. Great group of guys that range in age and ability. We currently have 3 separate flights within the club so that all members compete with others of roughly the same ability. View.  Our two big events are our trip to Reno in June and our Tournament of Champions in October along with playing Poppy Hills. We try to play a variety of courses from the easy to the hard and if one were to play every event it would average out to about $70 per event. We are primarily a bunch of friends and I’m trying to provide an easy/low cost way to join the NCGA and learn more about the rules of golf and play in tournaments. We have several decent players, but many will be newer players just starting to play in handicapped tournaments and we will be trying to create formats conducive to this mix. The Tonga USA Golf Club was set up in August 2004 to formally organize golfers of Tongan descent who are now live in the San Francisco area. However, membership is open for anybody and in fact, the club’s membership can be a reflection of the melting-pot demography of the Bay Area. The club provides tournaments for both men and women every month from January to December (Saturdays only), and it is usually at the end of the month. Games are played around the South Bay and East Bay. The club’s main event is a Two-Day Open tournament held in August, and it is open to anyone with a valid handicap. Everybody is welcome to participate in this tournament. Registration fee for new members is $100 while renewal fees is only $50.
