AGC is a men’s-only club that plays tournaments the first Saturday of each month (Feb – Nov). We play mid to upper level courses and try to stay within a 90-minute drive of San Mateo. We hold long drive and par 3 proximity events at each tournament and track points of all players for the end of season prize party. We have about 50 members and would like to grow back to around 100. Great group of guys that range in age and ability. We currently have three separate flights within the club so that all members compete with others of roughly the same ability. We allow guests if someone wants to give us a try for a single tournament.

The Alameda Naval Air Station Golf Club was formed in 1982 by golfers that worked at the Alameda Naval Air Base. We are a mixed membership club with around 50 members catering to casual golfers of all ages and abilities. Many of our members have handicaps in the teens or twenties, but beginners and/or duffers are always welcome. Golf fun is all we care about, and we won’t bore you with meetings, social events or other non-golf activities. You can do everything, including signing up for membership or tournaments, and even make payments, online. The club holds monthly tournaments on Saturdays or Sundays at good public courses all over the Bay Area and Monterey, and we try to keep our events affordable for all, with most tournaments costing under $79 including carts and prizes. Members earn points at each tournament to qualify for one of several NCGA Associate Club tournaments – with the club subsidizing 50% of your entry fees. We also hold a few fun tournaments to encourage those who don’t prefer competitive formats. We keep our annual fees as low as possible, and we are one of the best golf club values in all of California. Although we started as a company sponsored club over 25 years ago, and many of our members are current or former employees of AMD or Spansion, we have been independent for a few years now and welcome new members.

Cherry Chase GC is a men’s tournament golf club and one of the oldest Associate Clubs in the NCGA. We play 20 events per year on Saturdays, January-October, at a variety of courses throughout the Bay Area, including Monterey. Our membership has a broad span of skill levels ranging from single digit to low 30s handicaps. There are no flights. Each event has prizes for closest-to-the-pin and top finishers, as well as an optional skins competition. We regularly send about a dozen players to the NCGA Associate Club Championship each year. The Club pays for the golf fees. Points are earned throughout the year to qualify for the Club Championship playoffs, which consist of four rounds of medal and match play to determine the Club Champion. We play 12 times per year at 12 different courses, ranging from Monterey to Auburn and all places between. Our tournaments are held on Saturdays keeping in mind when holidays fall during the year. We have a tournament budget for the top five scores each month. We also have winners for the par 3 holes and the lowest amount of putts each month. Our normal turnout is from 12 to 20 players both men and women, so you are not waiting for hours after you finish for the payout results. From time to time, we offer an extra team type game to add a little extra excitement into the day. We have an 80% Handicap skins game which is optional. During the year, we have a monthly points system based on your scoring position that concludes with payouts at the end of the year and a chance to win your next year’s dues if you are the overall winner. This is a good mix of people from all around the Bay Area that likes to get together once per month for some fun on the course.

We are an associate club dedicated to the love of the game with plenty of social functions through out the year. We celebrate Chinese New Year with a dinner in the winter and have a club annual championship award luncheon in the fall. The club tournaments are held nine times annually and we play great courses through out the entire Bay Area including Poppy Hills and Poppy Ridge.

We are an associate club located in the Bay Area and play courses mostly around the bay, in the east bay and near Monterey. We play once per month all year round plus we have a second event some months for a total of 15 – 18 events per year. Our membership includes all ages from juniors to seniors and covering the full spectrum of handicap levels. We play mostly stroke play events with best ball events at some tournaments in addition to the stroke play scoring.

The Silicon Valley Golf Club has nearly 300 members of all different playing abilities. Our Club has members from a variety of different companies from around the Bay Area including, but not limited to; ASICSoft , Barracuda, Cognate, Cisco, Core Systems, Finisar, Intel, Juniper, Linear, & NetLogic. We are open to all golfers that want to play golf, establish a USGA handicap index, meet new friends, and have fun. We typically play 13-14 tournaments each year and play courses across the Bay Area and Monterey including Poppy Hills & Poppy Ridge, Bayonet & Black Horse, San Juan Oaks, Coyote Creek, Callippe Preserve, The Presidio, Eagle Ridge, Wente, & Eagle Vines. We send teams to NCGA best-ball and net amateur competitions. Players earn points at each event they play in with prizes awarded at our year end event. We also award the top finishers in each event with merchandise certificates to either Golfsmith or Golf Mart. We are members of Sons In Retirement (SIRs). We meet once a month for lunch at the Three Flames restaurant on Meridian Avenue in San Jose. We play golf on Mondays at San Jose Municipal golf course. We have a tournament at least once a month with other SIR golf clubs at golf courses from Mt. View thru San Jose and on to Santa Cruz and the Monterey Peninsula. Most of our members live in the San Jose area.

We have 12 net flight tournaments during the year (weather permitting) with one each month held on a Sunday at Willow Park Golf Course in Castro Valley. Our club offers a discount at the bar and also provides dinner to members who attend the annual election meeting to vote on new club officers.
