Poppy Hills Golf Course

Poppy Hills is a challenging golf course that weaves through the Del Monte Forest. The venue plays host to many prominent tournaments including the PGA Tour’s AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am from 1991-2009.  The Robert Trent Jones Jr. design opened in 1986 and is the home course for the NCGA. It was the first course in the United States to be owned and operated by an amateur golf association. The NCGA continued to grow with the addition of a second course, Poppy Ridge in Livermore, in 1996.

Though the course welcomes public play, by taking advantage of all the benefits and discounts offered at the member-owned course in Pebble Beach, NCGA members save more than $300  including nearly a 75% discount off the $200 public green fee. Money stays in the pocket from the moment members enter the gates of Del Monte Forest (the gate fee is waived when playing Poppy Hills) and continues throughout the round and afterward in the golf shop and restaurant, where members save 20% and 10% respectively (not including alcohol). Members also receive complimentary lessons and free club fittings.

The par-72 layout measures 6,857 yards from the black tees with a slope rating of 74.3/144. Poppy Hills also includes a picturesque grass driving range, practice putting, chipping, bunker facilities and a swing video analysis system. The golf shop was named as one of the “Top 100 Golf Shops” in 2005 and from 2007-2011 by Golf World Business magazine. The course also offers a idyllic setting for a wedding in Pebble Beach.

Poppy Hills golf course is a must play when visiting Pebble Beach and the Monterey Peninsula.
