PEBBLE BEACH – The Monta Vista GC team of Peter Chui, Ming Liu, Alan Leu and John Busch won the NCGA Associate Club Championship at Spyglass Hill, coming from four strokes down in the final round.
Monta Vista’s score of 37-under-par 251, in the format that takes the best two of four net scores per hole, was good for a six-stroke victory over runners-up Gold Country GC (Tom Anderberg, Taylor Hammam, Joseph Francis and Chris Perry). East Bay Hackers finished third.
First-round leaders North Bay GC faded to to a tie for seventh place.
