Listed below is IMPORTANT tournament information. Please read carefully.

FORMAT: 18 holes stroke play. Play will be from the GOLD tees. Qualifiers will advance to the Championship Proper at Poppy Hills GC on July 11-13, 2008. The number of spots available at each qualifying site will be determined based on the total number of entrants and the final field at each site. Final number of spots will be available from the committee on the day of qualifying.
RULES OF PLAY: The 2008-2009 USGA Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the enclosed NCGA rules card. The committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the qualifying site. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the conditions of the competition. The “One Ball Rule” is in effect.
GOLF CARTS: The use of automatic transportation is prohibited for ALL play. Spectator carts are prohibited.
1st TEE TIME: 8:00 AM off tee 1. Players should be at their assigned tee 10 minutes prior to their tee time.
PRACTICE ROUND: If you wish to play a practice round you must make reservations by calling the Riverbend GC golf shop at the number listed above.
WITHDRAWALS AND NO SHOWS: REGISTRANTS who wish to withdraw for any reason MUST notify the NCGA Rules and Competitions Department at (831) 625-4653. Refer to NCGA rules card.
Failure to withdraw appropriately will result in a NO SHOW and the player will receive a ONE-YEAR SUSPENSION FROM ALL NCGA EVENTS FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR FOLLOWING THE INFRACTION. A player who only contacts the course and NOT the NCGA will incur the suspension.
LATE APPEARANCE: Starters will not page players in advance of their starting time. Players are solely responsible for knowing their starting times and all players in a group must be present and ready to play at the time laid down by the Committee. The order of play is not relevant.
FOOTWEAR: Non-metal spikes required. Shoes with traditionally designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised either entirely or partially of metal (when such metal comes in contact with the surface of the putting green) are prohibited. Penalty for breach of this condition: DISQUALIFICATION.
DRESS CODE: Refer to NCGA rules card.
CERTIFICATES:
Online registrants: If you are a qualifier, you will not be mailed a certificate. The credit card you used during registration will automatically be charged the additional $160 for the championship.
Paper registrants: If you are a qualifier, you will be mailed a certificate once scores have been confirmed. If you have not received your certificate by Friday, June 13, 2008, please contact the NCGA immediately. This certificate must be completed and mailed with a $160 check to the P.O. Box listed on the certificate by Friday, June 20, 2008.
