The NCGA is a year round association but because some clubs are in physical locations that deal with a lot of snow and ice during the winter, we give them a grace period after the AFRP to get renewals in.
Snow Clubs AFRP
This is a reminder that the Annual Fall Renewal Period begins October 1, 2008 and concludes December 31, 2008, 6:00 PM PST. NCGA clubs may start adding golfers for 2009 as of October 1st. Most clubs wait until mid December to remove golfers; this ensures that the golfers receive 12 months of 2008 services through the existing clubs.
Because the weather may prevent access to your NCGA computer near the 12-31-08 deadline date, we encourage you to begin this deletion/inactivation process well before the 12-31-08 date. Clubs are urged to delete members that will not be renewing their NCGA membership for 2009 AND to inactivate any members whose status for 2009 is uncertain. Entering information on your computer without successfully transmitting between October and December 31st will accomplish nothing.
Clubs also have the www.ghinclub.net Internet site to perform club transactions. Detailed instructions are included in your October billing packet.
Deleted/inactivated members who are reinstated after December 31st but before the March 31, 2009 cut-off date for the April 1 revision will have the $10.00 reinstatement fee waived but only during this time period. The club will be charged the standard NCGA renewal fee ($30.00) instead of the $40.00 reinstatement fee. This is because of the unique and abbreviated playing season that snow clubs, such as yours, experience.
Your January 2009 NCGA membership billing will be based on all active members as of December 31, 2008. Everyone appearing on your January 1st roster will be issued the Bluebook edition of NCGA GOLF along with a January 1st index.
Failure to trim down your roster by this December 31st deadline will result in excess billings to your club; billings that the NCGA does NOT issue credits for as NCGA does not receive credit from our various vendors such as the magazine publisher, GHIN, etc.
A roster of your NCGA membership as of October 1, 2008 will be forwarded to your club’s billing person in October as a secondary reminder of the importance of the next couple of months. Please give this matter the attention it deserves before the club closes for the season!
